Holiday Glam

With Nordstrom, YSL, and Armani Beauty

Hello, my friends!

This past week I spent the afternoon getting a mini-facial and trying out some fabulous YSL and Armani beauty products. I had such an amazing experience, special shout out to Tony at YSL in Westfarms Nordstrom and Christopher, who’s a very talented regional artist for YSL and Armani Beauty. I had such a fantastic time getting to play with makeup and feel totally gorgeous. We did such a fun holiday glam look that included a gorgeous lip and stunning shimmer eyes! Plus, the look is SO easy to do by yourself, which is most important for me because I’m usually trying to get my makeup done in under 15 minutes. Christopher showed me that almost everything he applied can be done with the hands or a beauty blender. You can shop all the products at the end of this post!

Thank you, Christopher!

Thank you, Christopher!

Christopher first prepped my skin first by removing my makeup with the Giorgio Armani “Crema Nera Supreme” Balancing Oil-in-Gel Cleanser, as well as their Soft Peeling Lotion to exfoliate, and the “Crema Nera Acqua Pantelleria Serum-Lotion” to moisturize and protect. Super refreshing! Makes the skin super soft.

Next, we used the cult-favorite Luminous Silk Foundation, which is highly raved about by beauty guru’s for many years! I’ve been wanting to try it for so long! I’m at my fairest skin tone right now, my winter shade is #3. This foundation has become my new favorite! I’m usually a strictly powder girl most days. I use liquid foundations for events where I’m taking high quality photos with flash photography, or when I know I need something that I know is going to last me through a full day out. This stuff is magical! It’s lightweight, infused with skincare benefits, has buildable coverage, and looks just like my skin…BUT BETTER! It doesn’t feel like I’m wearing any makeup and looks beautiful in person and on camera. Rated with 5 stars for a reason!

Next, he used a gorgeous highlight that also worked as a blush/highlight from YSL called the Couture Highlight. I purchased this because it’s just so beautiful on the skin! This powder highlight is buttery soft and looks gorgeous when applied the apples and high points of your cheeks.

For brows, Christopher filled mine in very lightly just to define my arches. He used Armani’s High Precision Brow Pencil. This was a great pencil and easy to blend out and make to look very natural, which is how I prefer my brows to look.

For the eyes we first used liner, which I totally didn’t expect this to look good on me but it did! He used YSL’s “Dessin du Regard” eyeliner in ‘Burgundy. A gorgeous wine color! And I am obsessed with how burgundy eyeliner looks with my hazel eyes and light brown hair. Especially for the holidays and winter parties! Super fun.

For eyeshadow, he first put a beautiful base of the Armani Eye Tint in shade #21 “Fur Smoke” all over the lid. I am obsessed with these liquid shadows. So easy to apply and they look so good! To add a little shimmer on top and to the brow bone and inner corners we used shade #9 “Cold Copper”. I purchased both because I’m so obsessed and will do this look often now.

For mascara we used another super fun holiday shade! I actually already own this and loved this last year!! We used a GREEN mascara! It’s YSL Vinyl Couture Mascara in the shade “I’m The Excitement”. Very fitting for this look! But this deep green mascara is very discreet. You cant tell it’s green unless you came very close to me or caught it in the light. If you have hazel eyes like me, this is super stunning and really brings out the green tones in your eyes.

For lips we first lined and filled the entire lip in lightly with YSL’s Lip Styler in shade ‘Rosy’, if they are sold out of that shade, here is a similar one! This product is beautiful on the lips and lasted me all afternoon and evening. On top of the lip liner, we layered a YSL gloss that I’m OBSESSED with! My mom actually ended up buying it because she loved it so much too! It’s called the “Glaze & Gloss” in shade #3 “undress me nude”

Here is my final look!

Finished look! I asked for a more natural look, with a pretty eye and neutral lip.
