June has been an extremely relaxing month for me dedicated to spending time with family, my boyfriend, and my close friends. I have been able to put in a lot of exciting work into this blog too! As we approach the end of the month I am refocusing my goals on my health and fitness. I’d be happy to write more about that in a separate blog post if you are interested. I guess you could say i’ve been pretty relaxed with my diet and exercise routine so far this summer and it’s beginning to show on my body. I want to refocus my efforts toward eating healthy and doing a proper workout routine again because I felt on top of my game when I was more focused a year ago. Of course life gets in the way, but I know I feel my best and my happiest when I am a little more in shape!

As for my monthly favorites, I have many! But there are 6 that really stood out for me this month. As the summer heat blazes on, I have been enjoying light, summer-y scents and soft, glowy skin. I have been loving the look of worn, light denim with sandals. I’ve also been reaching for a new product I bought this month for my hair! My hair is extra dry in the summer with all the swimming and sweating I do, so a nourishing oil was a necessity for me. I was highly impressed with what I found! To learn more about each product, keep reading!

Monthly Must-Haves June 2019
  1. L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

If you get dry hands working at a desk all day, you will love this hand cream. It is the best hand cream I’ve ever used! The shea butter deeply moisturizes your skin and never leaves you feeling greasy or oily. My biggest annoyance with hand creams is that they tend to sit on the surface of the skin and transfer on to my laptop keys or phone screen. This hand cream does not do any of that! The difference was immediate. This soothes dry, cracked hands as soon as you finish rubbing it in. It is a dream for dry skin!

2. Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Cream Bronzer

This bronzer is so versatile! I have been using this every time I wear makeup this month. If I am just running out to run errands I like to buff this into the high points of the face, like the forehead and cheekbones. It instantly emphasizes the contours of the face and gives a beautiful, natural tan to the skin. You can apply this under or on top of foundation and it will show through. I love how soft and dewy this cream bronzer is! Plus, you get so much product so a little goes a long way with this.

3. Ouidad Mongongo Oil

This multi-use hair treatment oil is my new favorite step in my hair styling process. Not only do I love the way it hydrates my curls, but it also gives the most beautiful shine to my hair. It smells like a beautiful tropical breeze! Just like coconuts and summer time. This product makes my curls look healthy and hydrated. You can spray this oil over your hair when it’s wet or dry. If your hair is prone to dryness, damage, or frizz, I’d highly recommend picking one of these up.

4. Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter

I have used the unscented version of this body butter for a while now. My boyfriend gifted me this in the vanilla apricot scent and I love it so much! This scent is a perfect soft with a hint of sweet citrus scent that lasts all day. The formula of this body butter is so gentle and super creamy. This product just melts into the skin and leaves it feeling soft and supple all day long. This is a staple product in my body care routine. Josie Maran never lets me down!

5. Fresh Beauty Life Perfume

This fresh and natural scent embodies all the beautiful aspects of summer. Whenever I hug a friend while wearing this scent they always compliment me on how good I smell. It’s very fresh, clean, and light but gives you an uplifting feeling because of the citrus notes. The notes include: velvet bergamot, vanilla grass, dreamy cypress, grapefruit, lilac leaves, transparent magnolia, silk amber, warm orange, tonka flowers, sweet cucumber, sparkling moss, and morning dew. Basically you will smell like what it feels like to walk through a beautiful garden after a summer rainfall in a white linen dress.

6. Madewell Ripped High Waist Skinny Jeans

If you haven’t noticed from my previous outfit post, I am so into Madewell jeans right now. The fit is undeniably perfect and they have so many trendy styles. This pair in particular is a favorite because I can wear them in spring, summer, and fall. I love the frayed hem, the one rip in the knee, and the color. The high waist aspect is perfect. They hit me right below the belly button and that’s what I like in my leggings and in my denim. These fit a bit loosely, so if you don’t like a looser fit then I’d size down by one. These jeans look super cool and chic with flat mules or sandals. You can even dress them up with a block heel, silk cami, and leather jacket. Brava Madewell!
